Kingsbury School

Teacher of Technology

TMS/UPS | Permanent | Full-time or part-time considered | January 2027

Come and teach at a school where you can make a difference — and where you will be supported to become the very best teacher you can be.

Kingsbury School is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher of Technology to join our team from January 2027.

This is an exciting time to join Kingsbury School. We are a rapidly developing school with high expectations, a strong sense of community and a clear ambition for every student to succeed. Our values of Respect, Kindness, Honesty, Ambition and Pride underpin everything we do, alongside our core purpose: Enthuse | Aspire | Achieve.

We are deliberately keeping this appointment broad. Whether your specialism is Design and Technology, Food Technology, Engineering, Graphics or Art Textiles, we would be delighted to hear from you. We are interested in finding the right teacher and will work with the successful candidate's strengths and expertise.

You will join a supportive and well-resourced Technology faculty delivering an engaging curriculum from Year 7 through to GCSE. We want our students to become confident, creative and skilled young people who enjoy Technology and understand where it can take them.

Why Kingsbury?

We want teachers to be able to concentrate on what matters most: knowing their students, teaching them well and helping them succeed.

At Kingsbury you will find:

 a positive and supportive staff culture;

 clear expectations for behaviour and a pastoral team that supports teachers in maintaining them;

 a strong programme of professional development, with genuine opportunities for career progression;

 a school-wide commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching;

 well-resourced classrooms and specialist facilities;

 an iPad for every member of teaching staff, with wireless connection to classroom screens;

 strong administrative support;

 free on-site parking and a range of Trust employee benefits.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection judged Kingsbury to be Good, noting that “staff morale is high and relationships at all levels are very good” and that “the behaviour of pupils is good”.

We would welcome applications from ECTs, experienced classroom teachers and colleagues currently on the Upper Pay Scale. Above all, we are looking for someone who loves their subject, enjoys working with young people and shares our ambition to provide an excellent education for every student.

Come and have a look around. We actively encourage prospective applicants to visit Kingsbury School, meet our staff and students and see the school for themselves.

To arrange a visit please email Felicity Biddle.
